Fischer Soma Tec X120 DH Ski Boots - 318mm - Pre-owned (XJERGL)
Fischer took their world cup race boot, softened it up, added shock absorption and gave it a new paint job and out came the Soma X 120. The purple and green model reminds us of the Joker's getup from Batman! Looks aside, these have a stiff 120 flex rating and a 98mm last which is a close fit. You will not find a boot of this caliber at this low of a price. If you aren't a fan of the look, your pants will be covering most of it!
98mm last:Forefoot width of 98mm for racing performance, not as concerned about comfort, although modern boots do a great job of keeping their performance boots quite comfortable.
Target Skier: Advanced to Expert:These boots are stiff enough and performance oriented enough, that we would recommend them to advanced skiers who will be aggressively skiing the whole mountain. Beginners should look elsewhere!
120 Flex Rating:This boot is too stiff for beginners and even most intermediates. At this flex, the skier should be advanced to expert level, comfortable skiing at high speeds anywhere on the mountain.
Seamless Slider:Smooth material on the inside back of the liner to help the foot slide in and out of the boot with less effort.
Micro-adjustable alloy buckles: These alloy buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.
Removable Rear Spoiler:The spoiler that sits at the back of the cuff can be removed for extra leg room or to obtain a more upright stance.
Full Thermo Fit Liner:Body heat activates the material in this liner to shape to the skier's foot faster than a standard liner. The insulation also has heat reflective properties to keep the warm in, and the cold out.
SOMA-Tec:The positioning of the feet in a SOMA boot is in a natural 'V' shape, with the toes pointed slightly outward, and the heels slightly inward. This positioning puts the skier's center of gravity over the middle of the ski for better control and edging power. This design also creates less stress on the knee and ankle joints.
There is some scuffing on the boots from normal wear and tear.
